The Art Basel Shop to debut in Parisfrom October 16 to 20, unveiling new signature apparel and limited-edition product collaborations with premier luxury brands & designers

The Art Basel Shop, a novel concept store showcasing bespoke lifestyle products that celebrate and extend the Art Basel experience, will make its Paris debut at the Grand Palais from October 16 to 20, 2024, presenting new and special-edition collectibles across art, design, fashion, and publishing available exclusively during Art Basel Paris 2024, including collaborations by Guerlain, Uniqlo x Musée du Louvre, Lafayette Anticipations, Parley Foundation, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, and more. Launched in June 2024 at Art Basel's flagship Swiss fair, the Art Basel Shop will be curated for the second time by acclaimed French tastemaker Sarah Andelman, co-founder and former creative director of the iconic Parisian concept store colette, and founder of Just an Idea. Expertly curated with a selection of artist and brand collaborations at the highest level, the Art Basel Shop reflects Art Basel‘s ongoing mission to elevate its offering across its world-class platform, enhance opportunities for artists, and deepen engagement with its ever-growing community of art professionals and enthusiasts. For the first time, the Art Basel Shop will host an off-site pop-up at Dover Street Market Paris at the iconic retailer's boutique at 35-37 rue des Franc-Bourgeois in the historic Marais neighborhood. Open to the public from October 18 to 27, 2024, and therefore extending beyond Art Basel’s show week, the pop-up will feature a selection of key products from the Art Basel Shop's capsule collections to date.

Building on its newly launched heritage line, AB by Art Basel, which pays homage to Art Basel's rich visual history since 1970, the first Paris edition of the Art Basel Shop will premiere a capsule collection inspired by the fair's 1975 yearbook cover. On the occasion of the show, the line will also launch limited-edition streetwear, accessories, and functional design objects that draw on the signature branding of Art Basel Paris and its 2024 Art is... visual campaign, including several items with designs after French artist Nina Childress' portrait of Dalida, the iconic Italian-French singer and actress. For its iterative artist line, AB by Artist, the Shop will unveil a limited-edition collection developed with Paris-founded artist collective Claire Fontaine (Fulvia Carnevale and James Thornhill). The collection will feature new apparel and accessories born of Claire Fontaine’s artwork series Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere (2004-ongoing), which gives its name to the 60th Venice Biennale. Reproducing its titular phrase in some twenty languages across dozens of colorful neon tubing installations, the series questions the notion of 'foreigner' in the contemporary world.
