Where to eat

When it comes to dining in Miami, the choices are as vibrant and varied as the city itself. For an unforgettable experience, start with the classic seafood haven Joe’s Stone Crab (11 Washington Avenue), a true Miami Beach icon that has stood the test of time. If you’re craving Mediterranean flavors, Milos (730 1st Street) delivers impeccable seafood steeped in upscale charm. Sushi lovers should not miss Blue Ribbon Sushi (The Plymouth Hotel, 336 21st Street), where exceptional food meets the fantastic ambiance of their outdoor poolside tables.

For a late-night bite, head to La Sandwicherie (229 14th Street), where legendary sandwiches are served until 5am, keeping the night owls satisfied. For a taste of traditional Cuban cuisine, Puerto Sagua (700 Collins Avenue) offers a no-frills, delicious dive into local flavor. Over in Allapattah, experience the buzz of Jon & Vinny’s residency at the Rubell Museum (1100 NW 23rd Street) for laid-back Californian-inspired Italian. Meanwhile, the Design District boasts Contessa (111 NE 41st Street), where elegance meets rich Italian flavors. Lastly, make a stop at Mandolin (4312 NE 2nd Avenue), a charming Mediterranean bistro known for its simple excellence in Greek and Turkish cuisine.

Where to drink

After the events and dinners, I will see you all at Mac’s Club Deuce (222 14th Street). Opened in 1926, it’s Miami’s oldest bar and a true South Beach institution. It’s cash only, laid-back, with rustic decor, a pool table, and a jukebox that keeps the vibe just right. Perfect for no frills, late-night drinks and good times.

Where to catch the sunset

The views from the beachfront hotels are breathtaking and shouldn’t be missed. For an even better experience, head to the beach early in the morning before the art world awakens for a run on the sand or the boardwalk, or take a refreshing dip in the ocean. There’s nothing like that sunrise ritual to start the day. While sunsets are beautiful, the energy of the art scene is still in full swing during that time – sunrises offer a peaceful, revitalizing moment before the day begins.

Where to shop

While at the show, be sure to visit the Art Basel Shop, our unique concept store curated for the third time by Sarah Andelman, showcasing a selection of bespoke lifestyle products that celebrate and extend the Art Basel experience.

Next, explore the refined selection at The Webster (1220 Collins Avenue), renowned for its curated collections of top designer labels. For an expansive retail adventure, head to the Miami Design District, a vibrant hub blending luxury brands, innovative boutiques, and art-infused spaces. Don’t miss Curio at Faena Bazaar (3400 Collins Avenue), an eclectic space brimming with distinctive fashion, home decor, and treasures that perfectly capture Miami’s dynamic, art-filled energy. Happy shopping!

Don’t miss
