Drawing inspiration from environmental science, cultural history, and post-romantic constructions of nature, artist Julian Charrière creates highly unconventional artworks. His films, sculptures, and photographs depict the tensions between geological and human timescales in a digital era.&nbsp;Charrière's work is informed by expeditions to some of the world's most remote landscapes, including volcanoes, icebergs, and seabeds. In this short video profile, the&nbsp;artist delves deeper into his practice and mission, describes his ecological adventures, and discusses how art can change the way we see the world.
