Art Basel Miami Beach 2024 is around the corner. Brimming with exceptional art and events, the show opens to the public on Friday, December 6 – unless you would like to attend the exclusive vernissage on the afternoon of Thursday, December 5 (get your ticket here) – and runs through Sunday, December 8. Here is all the information you need for a successful visit.
The fair
The 2024 edition of the show will host 286 premier galleries from 38 countries and territories, set to present the best of their distinguished programs. The fair is divided into several exhibition sectors, each with its own focus. Learn more about the sectors here and discover the full list of exhibitors here.

Meridians
Meridians, the show’s trademark sector for monumental artworks, has been reconfigured for its fifth anniversary, and will be curated for the first time by Yasmil Raymond, an independent curator as well as the outgoing director of Portikus and rector of the Hochschule für Bildende Künste-Städelschule in Frankfurt. It will feature 17 large-scale projects by renowned artists from the Americas and beyond, including Alice Aycock, Rachel Feinstein, Roberto Huarcaya, Zhu Jinshi, Portia Munson, José Parlá, Lee ShinJa, and Franz West.

Conversations
Captivating discussions will take place from Thursday through Saturday as part of Art Basel’s Conversations program, which is free and accessible to everyone. Curated for the first time in Miami Beach by Kimberly Bradley, Conversations will kick off with the ‘Premiere artist talk’, highlighting the career and practice of famed New York-based, Iranian artist Shirin Neshat.

Digital Dialogues
Cohosted by TAEX and Digital Art Week, Art Basel Digital Dialogues focuses on the interplay between art and technology, seeking to further the discourse around digital art and on-chain art, engaging traditional collectors, artists, enthusiasts, and the emerging crypto art community.
Taking place on December 5 and 6 at the New World Center, just across the street from the MBCC, the freely accessible event will feature renowned panelists including the curator of digital art at the Whitney Museum Christiane Paul, New York University’s Amy Whittaker, and AI artist Kevin Abosch.

The Art Basel Shop
The third edition of the Art Basel Shop will be the largest to date, after successful editions in Basel and Paris earlier this year. Curated by Sarah Andelman, this novel concept store will showcase bespoke lifestyle and heritage products, and collectibles by some of today’s most dynamic artists, brands, and publishers.
Highlights include a collaboration with Brazilian artist Paulo Nimer Pjota for the Art Basel Shop’s signature AB by Artist line of products; the introduction of a new AB by Art Basel Heritage line, featuring a variation of the Art Basel logo taken from the cover of the show’s 1994 catalog; and several products designed in collaboration between lifestyle brands and artists such as Kaye Donachie, Sola Olulode, Tyler Hobbs, and Paola Pivi.
The shop will be located in three distinct locations across the MBCC’s West Lobby, Grand Ballroom, and East Lobby. This edition will also include a program of book signings, artist meet-and-greets, and activations.
The full schedule of events will be available soon on our events calendar.
Airbnb experiences
Art Basel and Airbnb have partnered to co-curate a series of exciting experiences allowing locals and travelers to dive head-on into the art world and engage more deeply with Miami. While the tour with Art Basel Miami Beach director Bridget Finn has already sold out, there are four compelling experiences that are also part of the initiative:
Stefanie Block Reed, Art Basel’s VIP representative for Florida, will host an exclusive tour of emerging art galleries and Superblue Miami; curator Laura Novoa will lead a special studio visit and smartphone photography workshop at Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami’s oldest and largest artist-serving organization; Miami-born artist José Parlá will guide you through the fair, where several of his artworks will be on display, including his latest large-scale painting, Pathways (2024); and chef Caique Tizzi will be your host for an intimate dining experience that reflects on art, history, and food in a multisensory journey in celebration of the spirit of Art Basel Miami Beach.
