Performance | Lanternfly Ballet by Monster Chetwynd

1.30pm

A newly commissioned site-specific work for this year’s offsite Encounters, Lanternfly Ballet by Monster Chetwynd transforms Pacific Place into a surreal, shifting ecosystem – an arena of play, ritual and choreography that is both a theatrical installation and a fleeting performance.

Take this opportunity to immerse yourself in the installation and watch as a duo of dancers animate the space, becoming extensions of the lanternflies flickering between presence and disappearance.

Lanternfly Ballet is presented by Swire Properties, the Official Partner of offsite Encounters, with the support of Galerie Gregor Staiger, Massimodecarlo, and Sadie Coles HQ. The Art Basel Hong Kong 2025 Encounters sector is curated by Alexie Glass-Kantor.
