Dedicated to presenting large-scale sculpture, installation, and performance works by artists from around the world, Encounters presents artworks that transcend the traditional art fair booth. 

Curated by Alexie Glass-Kantor and titled ‘As the World Turns’ this year.

Considers the cyclical nature of human encounters and the subtle shifts that define our existence. Artists contemplate change through the ethereal dance of time, being, and transformation, revealing the often-imperceptible transitions that shape our world. As the world turns, we can choose to face these shifts or turn away. The Encounters sector navigates distinct yet interwoven themes across the four aisles: ‘Passage’, ‘Alteration’, ‘Charge’ and ‘The Return’, celebrating the choice to turn towards the transformative power of art.
