Lu Yang’s DOKU the Creator opens Encounters with a playful yet pointed nod to the art fair’s commercial framework. Blurring the boundaries between art, retail, and digital spectacle, this hyper-stylized ‘storefront’ positions DOKU—a virtual avatar and artistic alter ego—not just as a protagonist but as a provocateur. Inspired by the aesthetics of pop-up retail, the installation transforms the act of purchasing into a game of chance, with artworks created by artist DOKU concealed in ‘blind boxes’. Buyers engage with the unknown, questioning notions of artistic value, authorship, and exchange. The space is a sensory overload of light, motion, and layered digital aesthetics. A towering LED wall pulses with imagery, while floating scrolling text displays feed a constant stream of digital information. The arched entrance, wreathed in animated flames, evokes gaming aesthetics, sci-fi futurism, and temple gateways alike. Imbued with egocentric messaging, the artwork positions DOKU as almost a deity – a creator – and at its core is a radical proposition: what happens when an artist becomes an avatar, when commerce becomes play, and when technology shapes not just the distribution of art but its very essence? Playful yet deeply philosophical, the installation extends Lu Yang’s inquiry into digital consciousness, reincarnation, and the fluid intersections of art, gaming, and virtual existence.

陸揚的《獨生獨死 - 創造者》以俏皮而尖銳的方式參與「藝聚空間」展區,巧妙地呼應了展會的商業框架。這個極具風格的「店面」模糊了藝術、零售和數位奇觀之間的界限,將藝術家的虛擬和藝術化身——DOKU,定位為主角,更是一個挑釁者。受快閃零售美學的啟發,這件裝置藝術將購買行為轉化為一場充滿機遇的遊戲,虛擬藝術家獨生獨死生成的藝術品被隱藏在「盲盒」之中。買家與未知互動,質疑藝術價值、作者身份與交換行為。在這個空間中,光線、移動與層疊的數碼美學帶來超感官體驗。巨大的LED牆面跳動著影像,而於高空中的滾動文字顯示幕則持續輸出數碼資訊流。入口處的拱門被跳動的火焰環繞,令人聯想到遊戲美學、科幻未來主義和廟宇的門戶。作品充斥自我中心的訊息,將獨生獨死定位為神明般的創造者裝置,其核心是一個激進的觀點:當藝術家成為虛擬化身,當商業成為遊戲,當技術不僅塑造藝術的管道,也塑造其本質時,會發生什麼?這個裝置既充滿趣味,又深具哲理,延伸了陸揚對數碼意識、輪迴,以及藝術、遊戲與虛擬存在的流動交集的探究。
