Galerie Fons Welters was founded in 1989. In the early years the program of the gallery was mainly focused on sculpture and installation. While maintaining the focus on experimental approaches the gallery now represents twenty-four artists which operate in many different mediums such as painting, sculpture, film, installation and performance. For over thirty years the gallery has helped foster the careers of many artist.
