Jan Mot

The gallery grew out of a nameless living room-gallery that started at the end of 1992. In April 1995 the gallery participated for the first time in an art fair (Foire International d’art Actuel de Bruxelles) and from 1996 the activities moved to an independent space in the center of Brussels. The gallery was named ‘Galerie Mot & Van den Boogaard’ and started working with a new group of artists like Pierre Bismuth, Douglas Gordon and Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster.
