Air de Paris
Paris
The name "Air de Paris" is a tribute to Marcel Duchamp's readymade.
Air de Paris was founded in 1990 in Nice by Florence Bonnefous and Edouard Merino, who both attended the Ecole du Magasin in Grenoble. In 1994, Air de Paris relocated to Paris, and in 2019 moved to a large industrial space in Romainville, Greater Paris.
For some 30 years, Air de Paris has cultivated a fondness for the peripheral. The move to Romainville shows our pursuing of this notion in a restating of Liam Gillick's maxim "Ju...
