Maccarone began in 2001 at 45 Canal Street, a pioneering project space that catalyzed the emergence of the Lower East Side gallery scene. Since then, Maccarone Gallery has grown significantly, opening a 6,000-square-foot space at 630 Greenwich Street in the West Village, and expanding that venue to include a second 4,000-square-foot adjacent space in 2012.
