In this large-format video work, the viewer follows the camera’s journey through the confined space of a small music box. The tiny mechanisms of the box take on an industrial character in this expanded scale, creating a magnified microcosm. Associations of industrial alienation coexist with the the extreme proximity of the camera and the intimacy of a personal object.
