See the projects featured in Parcours, the sector for site-specific works unfolding in Basel&rsquo;s Old Town. Parcours is curated by Stefanie Hessler.

Parcours

Messeplatz features a site-specific presentation by conceptual artist Agnes Denes, a pioneer of environmental, ecological, and land art. Honoring Wheatfield - A Confrontation (2024) is referring to Denes&rsquo; iconic land art work from the 1980s. The work will remain on the Messeplatz until its harvest.
The Messeplatz Project was&nbsp;curated by Samuel Leuenberger.

The Merian, situated right at the Middle Bridge along the Rhine in Kleinbasel, featured a hotel bar, restaurant, and terrace that hosted a continuous, around-the-clock program.

Kimberly Bradley is a writer, editor, and educator based in Berlin. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, ArtReview, and many other publications. Bradley is co-editor of Navigating the Planetary, a reader on transcultural art, and has lectured at NYU Berlin and the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts. A former curator and moderator of the talks series at Viennacontemporary, she most recently moderated public events for Forecast, an international mentorship program.

Kimberly Bradley

A curator and art critic, Carmine has been Director of the Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, Switzerland since 2007. He has previously curated a number of international projects, including the Swiss Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013 with a presentation by Valentin Carron.

Giovanni Carmine

Stefanie Hessler is a curator, writer, editor, and the Director of Swiss Institute (SI) in New York. Previously, Hessler was the&nbsp;director of Kunsthall Trondheim in Norway. She has curated numerous exhibitions and biennials, and published several books, including&nbsp;Prospecting Ocean (The MIT Press, 2019). Hessler&nbsp;is a founding committee member of the New York chapter of the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC), and forms a part of the On Seeing editorial collective between The MIT Press and the Brown University Library.

Marian Masone is a film curator, lecturer and writer based in New York. For over 25 years, Masone has worked at The Film Society of Lincoln Center, one of America&rsquo;s pre-eminent film organizations, where she sat on the selection committees for &rsquo;New Directors/New Films&rsquo;, produced with the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and &lsquo;The New York Film Festival&rsquo;.

Marian Masone

Filipa Ramos is a writer and curator with a PhD awarded from the School of Critical Studies at Kingston University, London. She is a founding curator of the online video platform Vdrome. Interested in the relationships between contemporary art and cinema, Ramos&rsquo; research often focuses on how moving images address environmental and ecological topics. Ramos is Lecturer at the Arts Institute of the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz in Basel.
