Parcours

Messeplatz features a site-specific presentation by conceptual artist Agnes Denes, a pioneer of environmental, ecological, and land art. Honoring Wheatfield - A Confrontation (2024) is referring to Denes&rsquo; iconic land art work from the 1980s.

A curator and art critic, Carmine has been Director of the Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, Switzerland since 2007. He has previously curated a number of international projects, including the Swiss Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013 with a presentation by Valentin Carron.

Giovanni Carmine

Stefanie Hessler is a curator, writer, editor, and the Director of Swiss Institute (SI) in New York. Previously, Hessler was the&nbsp;director of Kunsthall Trondheim in Norway. She has curated numerous exhibitions and biennials, and published several books, including&nbsp;Prospecting Ocean (The MIT Press, 2019). Hessler is a founding committee member of the New York chapter of the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC), and forms a part of the On Seeing editorial collective between The MIT Press and the Brown University Library.
