<p><em>Our ‘Meet the collectors’ film series celebrates today’s most inspiring patrons.</em></p><p>Patrick Sun is a man with a cause. A dedicated collector, he’s also a staunch supporter of LGBTQ+ rights in Asia and beyond. Launched in 2014, his Sunpride Foundation has ‘a mission to foster a stronger, healthier, and more equitable world for the Queer community and its allies through the collection and exhibition of art,’ he told Art Basel. </p><p>In this episode of ‘Meet the collectors’, we join Sun at Hong Kong’s Tai Kwun Contemporary for a private visit to the exhibition ‘Myth Makers – Spectrosynthesis III’. The collector has been deeply involved in making this major survey of LGBTQ+ perspectives from Asia and its diasporas, which features many pieces on loan from the Sunpride Foundation.
