The list of galleries participating in the second edition of Online Viewing Rooms has just been released. This June, 281 exhibitors will present works by a wide array of artists on artbasel.com and the Art Basel app.
Similarly to Art Basel’s physical fairs, this iteration of Online Viewing Rooms will be structured into sectors, each with a distinct focus. The main sector, Galleries, will feature an eclectic selection of pieces by 20th-century masters and contemporary artists alike. So will Edition, dedicated to prints and multiples. Statements will focus on emerging voices and the young galleries championing them, and Feature will showcase curated presentations of works by 20th- and 21st-century artists.
This second edition will also include ten first-time Art Basel participants: Lars Friedrich from Berlin; Emalin and Union Pacific from London; Bridget Donahue, Queer Thoughts, and Yancey Richardson from New York City; Loevenbruck from Paris; LambdaLambdaLambda from Prishtina; Hosfelt Gallery from San Francisco; and René Schmitt from Westoverledingen.
Online Viewing Rooms will open to the public on June 19, 2020 at 1pm CET / 7am ET / 7pm HKT. Be sure to regularly check our Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, WeChat, and Weibo channels, and subscribe to our newsletter for more updates about artworks and galleries featured.
