Galerie-Zlotowski

Galerie Zlotowski specializes in the avant-gardes of the 20th century, following two parallel but complementary paths. Firstly, we frequently show major modernists such as Sonia Delaunay, Jean Dubuffet, Simon Hantaï, Fernand Léger, Kurt Schwitters, Amédée Ozenfant and Georges Valmier via exhibitions, numerous catalogues and art fair stands. In this respect, the Gallery has contributed to the recognition of the visual oeuvre of our key artist, Le Corbusier.
 
In 2024, the gallery has organized two exhibitions, each with a catalogue published at Editions Martin de Halleux. In the spring, we have shown a group exhibition called “spilling the stain”, in collaboration with Galerie Catherine Issert. In October 2024, we will organize an extensive retrospective dedicated to Sonia Delaunay, with works spanning from 1905 to 1979. 
 
Alongside those great “Moderns”, the Gallery regularly proposes the rediscovery of lesser-known artists like Eugene J. Martin, Ella Bergmann-Michel, Robert Michel or Stéphane Mandelbaum. In September 2023, the gallery organized an exhibition of etchings and drawings by Stéphane Mandelbaum, while the first exhibition of the Belgium artist in the US was opening at the Drawing Center in New York (to which we loaned several works).
 
Present at major international art fairs, including Art Basel and TEFAF, the Gallery defends cutting-edge, unshown works reflecting its personal vision and convictions. It counts among its clients numerous museums and is a willing lender to major exhibitions. The Gallery has loaned several works by Sonia Delaunay at the Bard Graduate Center in New York for “Sonia Delaunay, Living Art” (February – July 2024) an exhibition that we sponsored. A collage by Pierrette Bloch for an exhibition of the artist was lent to the Musée Soulages in Rodez.  Works by Jean Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp are shown in the Mémorial of Chambon-sur-Lignon in a historical exhibition dedicated to Varian Fry.
